What an amazing book launch last night. I'm still taking it all in.
To my family, friends, colleagues, and all the people I've met along the education journey - those working tirelessly behind the scenes and on the ground to make real change happen - thank you for showing up and sharing this moment with me.
A huge thank you to BookBar for hosting and making the whole experience feel so seamless, welcoming and comfortable. What a venue.
And a very special thank you to Leisa Rea, my teacher, and to Livia (a wonderful human I taught in Nursery who is now 16!). The book is dedicated to you both - two incredible, creative people who work so hard for change. Having you there and hearing you speak made the whole event truly special and deeply meaningful.
Thank you to my lovely 8 year old daughter for singing a beautiful cover of Pink Floyd's Another Brick In The Wall.
Thank you to everyone who came, who has bought the book, read it, and sent me messages about it. Every conversation, every reflection, every response reminds me why I wrote it.
It's time for change. And I'm so grateful to be on this journey with all of you.
